As a general FYI, I have drawn other things since November! I’ve been anticipating Nate Cosby and Chris Eliopoulos’ Cow Boy for a long time. They’ve been talking about it for awhile on Twitter, and I trust those guys to make sweet things on their own. Together? Color me ready for Cow Boys.
So this is Boyd riding on to town on a horse that ain’t his. Or he says it ain’t? But the subtitle for the book is, “A Boy and his Horse”? I’ll just need to wait till release day to figure out the mystery.
I really like how this one turned out. I’ve always avoided shading eyes and putting little scratch marks on characters. Because I’m dumb, apparently. Now that I have, and I love the effect it gives, I don’t know why I avoided it.
