The suggestion comes from the superbly entertaining Chris Sims of Chris’s Invincible Super Blog. If my sketches are illegible this was the suggestion:Â “Herbie Popnecker riding Devil Dinosaur to a battle with the forces of Cobra.” This was pretty much a delight to draw. There was a period of about five days where I would open up the file and promise that I would finish it, but for some reason I did not. Vexed or not all I had to do was consider my subject matter: Devil Dinosaur teaming up with the Fat Fury? I was working on something amazing.
Out of the three characters surprisingly the one that I know the least about is G.I. Joe’s Cobra. Somehow I missed that cartoon growing up. Knowing zilch about Cobra I wasn’t sure where to put them. This is where my inability to draw backgrounds and lack of knowledge for the setting shine brilliantly. So the whole amalgamation has landed in a very generic science setting. Looks poor, but it felt right. Now that I have my experience in drawing faux science labs there’s no telling where this skill might lead me.

Great stuff sheli
use your generic science lab background powers for good!

Dear MLHay,
I love that your writing style makes it easy to hear your voice saying everything. As well as the facial expressions that would probably accompany such statements. Anyway, your blog has been bookmarked for future reference.
peace.
