So we’ve got the lovely return of one of my favorite canines, but this time in 3-D! I was able to choose what I wanted to do in my sculpture class and I decided trying to render a comic page in 3-D would be really awesome. Did it turn out awesome? Slightly. I ended up having to wrap up a lot of it in one night which means that I rushed it where I usually would have taken more time. Still, for the time that I took to do it there are some pleasing parts to the project.
You know as well as I do that Rex could totally champion over a t-rex, no sweat.
The form for the t-rex was well resolved, but Rex’s could you some help. Tragically the coloring is actually much better than I usually do, but it still is not that successful. I wanted to take more time and paint it well and gloss it…but at 8am this morning I didn’t care what happened with the dang thing as long as I didn’t see white.
I did take a good amount of time with the letters, I’m pretty satisfied with how they came out. They look pretty close to what is on the comic page. It’s even better because I made sure that I used an inking brush. It came out a little bit more sloppy then when I drew it in marker, but it still works.

Update on the Post this week: Hold your horses equine enthusiasts! I’m still sketching out the piece that was ‘Due’ on Sunday, and I should have that up Thursday or Friday. I see no reason that the post due this week won’t be up on time.
In conclusion: I’m been up for far too many hours, I’m going to sleep.
